Job Description: Waiter/Waitress

Job Summary:

We are seeking friendly and efficient Waiters and Waitresses to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidates will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Interaction:

• Greet and welcome guests promptly with a warm and friendly attitude.
• Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
• Take accurate food and drink orders using order slips or a handheld POS system.
• Communicate order details to the kitchen staff as needed.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Check-in with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address guests' needs and requests.

Table Maintenance:

• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
• Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
• Ensure the dining area is clean and tidy at all times.
• Restock and replenish service stations as needed.

Billing and Payment:

• Prepare and present bills to guests.
• Accept payments in cash, credit, or debit cards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and provide change as necessary.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with kitchen staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with food preparation and plating when needed.
• Support other team members during busy periods.

Compliance:

Follow all relevant health department regulations and all customer service guidelines.

Adhere to safety and sanitation policies.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and tidy workspace.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Basic math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a customer service role.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
